Childhood experiences and trauma counselling

Understand the past without letting it run the present

Explore old experiences and present-day patterns with choice, steadiness, and respect for your pace.

Service overview

What this can look like in everyday life.

Experiences from childhood can still shape how you relate, protect yourself, and respond under stress. You do not need a perfect memory or a dramatic story to begin. We can start with what is happening in your life now.

You choose what to share and when. The work is guided by your needs rather than a fixed timeline.

This may fit if…

Some of this feels familiar.

  • Old family dynamics show up in current relationships
  • Conflict, criticism, or closeness feel unusually activating
  • You understand the pattern intellectually but still feel stuck
  • You want to explore the past without being pushed to disclose

Sessions may explore

What Jennifer and you can work on together.

Common questions

Useful details before you begin.

How do I know whether childhood experiences is the right starting point?

You do not need to be certain. Choose the page that feels closest to what is happening now. A free consultation gives you space to describe the situation, ask questions, and decide whether Jennifer's experience and approach fit your needs.

What happens in an online session?

You join from a private location in British Columbia. A 55-minute session follows the concern that feels most useful that day. You can slow down, ask questions, and adjust the focus or pace as the work develops.

How much does counselling cost?

A 15-minute consultation is free. Individual online counselling sessions are 55 minutes and $89 CAD. Payment is made by e-transfer after each session. Jennifer can provide an electronic receipt, and Jubilee Cares does not direct bill. Less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments may be charged the full fee, with circumstances considered case by case.

See whether the fit feels right
